5 Audience: ALL Teachers/Admin 3 hours $2,250.00 Engaging Students Through Hands-On Investigations: Educators will explore strategies for engaging students in hands-on investigations and rich mathematical tasks that promote reasoning, collaboration, and discussion. This session focuses on creating learning experiences that deepen conceptual understanding and encourage students to actively explore, question, and communicate their thinking. Audience: ALL Teachers/Admin 3 hours $2,250.00 Connecting Mathematical Applications to the Standards for Mathematical Practice (SMPs): Explore how mathematical application tasks can be intentionally connected to the Standards for Mathematical Practice (SMPs) to strengthen student critical thinking and problem-solving. In this session, you’ll examine Claims 2–4 and analyze how they relate to a range of application items. Participants will identify reflection questions to help select high-impact tasks that enhance reasoning, deepen understanding, and elevate instructional practices to improve overall math proficiency. Audience: ALL Teachers/Admin 3 hours $2,250.00 Strengthening Small Group Instruction in Math: Explore key elements of effective small group teaching, including goal-setting, meaningful feedback, and ongoing progress monitoring. Learn how to support flexible thinking, encourage multiple problem-solving strategies, and promote communication and reasoning. Discover ways to foster student reflection and independence for deeper engagement and lasting learning. • Developing mathematical reasoning, justification and discourse • Strategies for investigative, student-centered learning • Incorporating real-world applications such as CA Environmental Principles • Setting goals and providing feedback • Encouraging multiple pathways • Developing communication and mathematical reasoning • Progress monitoring • Encouraging student reflection Audience: ALL Teachers/Admin 3 hours $2,250.00 Strategies for Long-Term Math Retention: Investigate best practices to help students retain math learning over time. This session will explore effective review strategies that promote easy recall and deepen conceptual understanding. Learn how to incorporate tools such as strategy posters, unit toolkits, and knowledge drops to support ongoing review. You’ll also spend time planning intentional opportunities to revisit key content in meaningful and rigorous ways throughout the year. Audience: ALL Teachers/Admin 6 hours $4,500.00 Building Coherence Through Big Ideas in Math: This session explores how mathematical concepts develop over time and how to use Big Ideas to guide effective instruction. Educators will examine the coherence of the standards, identify key connections across grade levels, and learn how to design instruction that supports long-term conceptual understanding. By focusing on the progression of learning, participants will gain tools to make math more meaningful, connected, and impactful for students. Audience: ALL Teachers/Admin 3 hours $2,250.00 Equitable and Engaging Math Instruction: This professional learning session highlights key strategies for equitable and engaging teaching, including planning around Big Ideas, using open tasks, and prioritizing reasoning. Educators will explore ways to address barriers to success, promote active engagement, and create inclusive, student-centered math classrooms. • Connecting applications to SMPs • Linking SBAC Claims 2–4 to items • Promoting a growth mindset • Review strategies with posters and toolkits • Ongoing rigorous review opportunities • Progression of math concepts by grade • Teaching around Big Ideas • Linking standards to instruction • 5 Keys to equitable, engaging math • Why equity matters • Equitable strategies for diverse learners • Planning for active engagement • Asset-based collaborative discussions Deepening Mathematical Understanding Through Problem-Solving Bringing the Standards for Mathematical Practices to Life: Applications and Reasoning Elements of Successful Small Group Instruction Review Strategies & Building Math Confidence Understanding Standards Progressions and Big Ideas in Mathematics Teaching for Equity and Engagement in Mathematics Education Must be booked as a half day (3 hours) or a full day (6 hours) Booking Requirements Schedule Example: Two 1.5-hour Sessions = a half day (3 hours); One 3-hour Session plus two 1.5-hour Sessions = a full day (6 hours). * Must be booked with another continuous 1.5 hour session for a total of $2,250
